After reading "Small Gods", the stubborn idea arose in me that some elements of this story, published in 1992, can be adjusted to current reality. 

Tiny voices that seek to be heard, being more precise, I mean all those users of social networks that as the small gods; they are looking for someone to believe in them, someone to become their follower and perhaps share their ideology with others. At times it seems like a beautiful exercise to magnify the ego, because more is desired the more one has. The guess incites to believe that it is part of moving up in category.

And once they have been crowned among the greats, from that Olympus being renowned members with a certain voice, the sympathizers seem to matter little. These, just pieces in clusters, numbers that help them maintain their status. And they, well, because of that status they are participants in a game between powerful. 

Later when they collapse, because some will have to; it is interesting that even those fallen, in addition to losing their sympathizers, are frowned upon among the small existences; to the point of being forgotten.

In the end it could be said that life and death apply to everyone. Although, it is also valid to express that an analogy can be applied to everything; or maybe not, and all this text arises from a careful personal selection of elements of that story.

Mmmm ...... I don't know, but you, dear reader, will know what to believe.
